This course is designed to help high school students strengthen their English reading, writing, and literary analysis skills while improving their grades in challenging high school English classes. Additionally, it provides a strong foundation to help students achieve high scores on standardized tests such as the SAT or ACT. Through a small group learning environment (with a maximum of three students), the course focuses on addressing each student's specific areas of weakness.

The program is divided into three key components:

  1. Homework Support: Personalized tutoring for high school English coursework, with a focus on enhancing writing assignments and overall comprehension.

  2. SpiderSmart Classic Reading and Writing Curriculum: Targeted lessons in essay writing, reading comprehension, and vocabulary to build critical thinking and analytical skills.

  3. Student Self-Paced SAT/ACT Preparation: Comprehensive and effective practice materials and strategies to improve performance in the reading and writing sections of these standardized tests.

By combining personalized guidance, targeted practice, and a structured curriculum, this course empowers students to build confidence, achieve academic success, and develop the skills necessary for high performance in both their schoolwork and standardized testing.
